Formation Continue UNIL-EPFL in brief

Formation Continue UNIL-EPFL is a foundation that groups together the continuing education activities of
the University of Lausanne (UNIL) and the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).

Based on leading-edge research and long-standing experience in the field of university continuing education, these two Hautes Ecoles Universitaires collaborate to offer programmes of a very high level to professionals.

Situated on the EPFL campus, at the heart of the EPFL Innovation Park, Formation Continue UNIL-EPFL centralises, coordinates and participates in the development and organisation of all the continuing education programmes offered by the two institutions.

It collaborates closely with the specialised continuing education entities integrated within the faculties, such as Executive Education HEC Lausanne, Institut de hautes études en administration publique (IDHEAP), or the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (IUMSP).

In 2017, continuing education at the University of Lausanne and EPFL comprised:

• 183 programmes, 77 of which were certified programmes (CAS, DAS or MAS)
• 3,428 participants
• 2,095 days of training
